We’ll never be 100% “ready” for the Village. My grandparents and great grandparents weren’t ready for the Depression, yet the rose to meet the moment. They lived simply, grew food, shared it, and enjoyed it.

I also take issue with the idea that we’re too individualist or capitalist to tend to the Village. We’re matriarchal in origin and n…

Thanks for the luv, Reggie! “This substack.com/redirect/2… marks our nation’s 250th year, a year where our democracy is crumbling, our shared story is fraying, and so many of us feel the weight of what is wrong. So for me, this feels like exactly the right thing to do and support.”

Every sector of society works stridently against our nation's singular purpose of equality.

The federal government is one of the worst offenders, depriving us of equality, life, liberty, and happiness at home, and mindlessly bombing countries abroad.

It's time for a new dream, a new moral vision. It's time to put all the oars in the water …

Thanks for sharing this with me, WadeS :) I think I read this or skimmed it when it came out. There’s a lot in this that is great, and it still misses a couple critical points and puts the onus back on the individual to change, which is both the playbook for all things patriarchy and anti-patriarchy right now. I’d like to see more treatment o…

Love this article, and I’ve felt the same way as the author Celeste Davis . Scott Galloway is excellent at describing the state of the modern man, but his prescriptions are rooted in modernity / patriarchy / late stage capitalism. We need many different types of masculinity as the author and Sophie Strand suggests, so that every male can see that mor…

“government derives its authority from consent and that when a government systematically violates the terms of that consent, the obligation to obey it dissolves.¹ Thomas Jefferson said the same thing plainly in 1776: when a government becomes destructive of the ends for which it was established, it is the right of the people to alter or …

Women can stop.

In fact, we must stop.

We must stop holding up the sky for patriarchy - in our homes, our workplaces, our sporting and social clubs.

Icelandic women did it in 1975.

We can do it, in all the ways that work for individual women, in 2026.

I have outlined how in this week’s Truth Bomb Times.

In 1975, Icelandic women stopped. Approximately 90% of them left paid jobs and withdrew unpaid labour at home. Schools closed. Businesses stalled. Fathers took children to work. The country felt, in one day, what women’s labour actually holds up. Within five years, Iceland elected the world’s first democratically chosen female president. Over time, it became one of the most gender-equal countries in the world. That day is now known as the Women’s Day Off. So when I say “what happens if we stop,” I am not fantasising about collapse. I am pointing to precedent.\ \ In 1975, Icelandic women stopped. Approximately 90% of them left paid jobs and withdrew unpaid labour at home. Schools closed. Businesses stalled.
