Mine to Do

What I Deserve

At the end of the day, the problem is not that the poor have no voice; it is that no one is listening. Bryant Myers (Walking with the Poor)

I May Not Know What is Best

He also loves. He also has suffered.

He also has waited a long time.

C.S. Lewis

On Psalm 46:1

The Lord is an ever-present help in times of trouble.

I would prefer

An ever-present help that removes all trouble.

An ever-present help that prevents all trouble.

An ever-present help that guarantees that there are no times of trouble.

But there are times of great trouble. And in those times the Lord is ever-present. And in this Presence alone, there is great help.

The More a Person Opens His Heart

The more a person opens his heart to me, the more important it is that he should find in me a man in close contact with God.

Litany of Humility

O Jesus, meek and humble of heart, hear me.
_From the desire of being esteemed, deliver me, Jesus.
_From the desire of being honored, deliver me, Jesus.
_From the desire of being loved, deliver me, Jesus.
_From the desire of being sought out, deliver me, Jesus.
