I had completely forgotten that sensation of going hand over hand until you reach the bottom of the pool. I think it was my mother's leg. Your recall of sensory imagery, as always, is so specific and brings me right to a forgotten moment. Gorgeous painting: so vivid and lush. Amazing work, both of you.
