this series i have been sharing over on instagram is like my nostalgia for childhood in food form. i started this series called “better than store-bought” where i make recipes we all know and love from the grocery store or maybe a restaurant, at home in our own kitchen.

what i love about making recipes like these, is that it satisfies the craving for something we have that we typically spend money on, but not only is it more cost effective to make your own recipes at home, it also is healthier. and yes there is a time and place to grab the food at the store and not make it - but it does feel damn good to have a twix recipe like this one that is much lower in sugar, made with nutrient dense ingredients like almond flour, nut butter and sweetened with maple syrup.

some of the recipes are in my new cookbook and some on my website (have you pre-ordered yet?!) anyways - i can't wait for you guys to enjoy these recipes as much as we do. let me know which ones you try, have tried and of course your review on my website. i LOVE to hear from you guys!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

my new cookbook!

10 better than store-bought recipes made to satisfy

fudge pop ice cream bars: the fudgy frozen treat your inner child is craving, made with simple ingredients and so much better than anything you'll find in the freezer aisle.

the best gluten-free twix bars: the homemade candy bar that tastes even better than the original, with layers of buttery shortbread, gooey caramel, and chocolate in every bite.

the viral dot cake at home: the easiest birthday cake hack you'll ever make—using my healthier funfetti sheet cake and colorful frosting dots for a cake that looks bakery-worthy with minimal effort. used my funfetti cake from my new cookbook! it is gluten-free, dairy free-friendly and ofc i use dye-free sprinkles.

3-ingredient nutter butters: the homemade nutter butter upgrade with the perfect peanut buttery crunch and creamy filling that tastes just like the classic cookie you grew up with.

entenmann’s chocolate donuts: the nostalgic chocolate-frosted donut you grew up loving, made with simple better-for-you ingredients and baked instead of fried so you can enjoy every bite guilt-free.

chocolate chip cookie granola: if you love the store-bought granolas, this homemade chocolate chip cookie version is about to be your new obsession. made with organic ingredients, no natural flavors, no refined sugar and the perfect crunchy clusters. recipe is in my new cookbook!

better than boxed mix devil’s food cake: the rich, ultra-chocolatey sheet cake that feels bakery-worthy but is easy enough to make whenever a serious chocolate craving hits.

oatmeal cream pies: the homemade oatmeal cream pie of your dreams with soft chewy cookies, a creamy filling, and all the nostalgic snack cake vibes you know and love.

copycat brownie little bites: the nostalgic little bites brownie you loved as a kid, made with better-for-you ingredients and packed with the fudgiest chocolatey goodness in every bite.

blueberry pop tart bars: all the nostalgic pop tart vibes you grew up loving, made with simple ingredients and a buttery jam-filled crust that tastes even better homemade.
