From incel-nation to hot chicks with impossible standards, both are slaves to the algorithm—it has become their window to the world.  
They get the impression that what they receive back—based on what they’ve fed it—is, in fact, how the world is. When, really, the vast majority of people are in neither of these camps. And, paradoxically, these subcultures beat the same drum: “I don’t like the world the way it is and it needs to change to accommodate my desires because I deserve it.”
